Eraly Unlimited Game

History, eight moments a journey

Eraly Unlimited is a free history game built on one action: type the year something happened. Every journey deals eight moments, gives you thirty seconds for each, and moves a small clockwork robot along a road through time by however far your guess lands. No daily limit, no sign-up, no download.

What Is Eraly Unlimited?

A guess-the-year history game with no wall at the end of the round.

A journey deals eight moments from history, mixed across eras. For each one you type a year, anywhere from 1 AD to today, and a clockwork robot named Tick walks that many years along a road that runs through the ages. A clean journey is worth 800 points, and the moment it ends a fresh set of eight moments is waiting. The daily version of this game stops after one shared set of moments. That is a good habit and a poor way to spend a wet afternoon: once you have played, the game is closed until tomorrow. Eraly Unlimited keeps the guessing and drops the waiting, so a journey is something you can do twice on a train and still want a third. It is not the same game as the daily history title that plays in the window on the Eraly page here. Different moments, different scoring tolerance, eight per journey instead of seven, thirty seconds per moment instead of twenty-five. If you came for the shared daily set, that page has it; if you came to keep playing, this is the one.

When one round a day runs out

You finish the daily history game in three minutes, see exactly how you did, and then the tab has nothing left for you. Most daily games treat that pause as the product: the wait is what brings you back tomorrow. It also means the game is over precisely at the moment you were getting warm. The waiting is the part worth removing, not the daily habit. Here the moment a journey closes the next one opens with eight moments drawn from a different spread of eras, so the second journey is not a rerun of the first. Play one, or play until you decide to stop.

Thirty seconds changes how you guess

Give a player a whole minute and they reason their way towards a year. Give them thirty seconds and they have to commit on instinct. That is a harder and more honest test of what they carry around in their head, because the pause that would have rescued them is the thing the clock takes away. Each moment arrives with a one-line hint as well: a name, a place, a nudge towards a century. Enough to stop the blank stare, not enough to hand over the answer. You read it, hang the moment off something you already know, and type four digits.

Close counts, but only so far

Most year-guessing games are pass or fail, which makes a miss of four years look identical to a miss of four centuries. Both come back wrong, and the second teaches you nothing except that you were lost. Eraly Unlimited bands the guess by distance instead: exact scores 100, close scores 85, near scores 60, rough scores 30, and anything else still earns 10. Older moments tolerate a wider miss, because a Roman object carries a thousand years of uncertainty that a moon landing does not. After every guess you see which band you landed in and where the true year sat.

The arithmetic of an 800-point journey

Eight moments at 100 apiece is 800, which reads as generous until you try it. Two exact years plus a run of rough guesses leaves you nearer 400, and that gap is the whole game. The ceiling is reachable. Reaching it means being right about everything, including the one moment you have never heard of. Watching the running total climb is also how people learn where they are thin. A journey that stalls at half score points at an era, and the next journey is a quick way to test whether that era is still missing.

What is left behind when you miss

After each guess the true year appears next to a short fact about the moment, so a wrong answer still hands you something to keep. That is the half of the round most guessing games throw away: the correction is where the learning actually happens. A few journeys in, the facts stack up. The date you fumbled in one session is the date you answer in a second, and the countdown stops feeling like a threat and starts feeling like a rhythm.

Built for a phone and a spare minute

Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for, no app store in the way. The game runs in a browser window, which fits how a history game actually gets played: in a queue, on a commuter train, in the four minutes before a call starts. The window on this page holds the game at full size, so a journey never needs a second tab or a trip to another site. If the window is slow to appear on a weak connection, there is a direct link above it, and the game is the same either way.

Why Choose Eraly Unlimited

The parts of a guessing game that matter once the daily round is over.

01

Eight moments per journey

Each journey mixes eras rather than running chronologically, so a Roman coin can sit next to a nineteen-sixties photograph. Eight guesses, one running total, and a clean end point you can stop at.

02

Thirty seconds and one hint

The clock rewards recognition over research. The hint names a person, a place or a century, which is enough to anchor a guess without turning the moment into a lookup exercise.

03

Distance scoring in five bands

Exact, close, near, rough, and the floor of ten points. You always see the band you landed in, so a guess that missed by a decade reads differently from a guess that missed by a dynasty.

04

Over two hundred moments

The pool runs from the first century to the last few years, each moment carrying one accepted year checked against well-known sources. Anything with a disputed date stays out of the pool.

05

The answer, then the context

A reveal gives you the true year and a line of background in the same place. Miss the guess and you still leave with the date attached to a fact rather than floating on its own.

06

No account, no install

The game opens in the browser on a phone or a laptop and keeps no queue between you and the first moment. There is nothing to verify, nothing to pay, and no limit on how often a journey starts.

How to Use Eraly Unlimited

One journey, from the first moment to the running total.

  1. 01

    Start a journey

The first moment appears with its hint and the clock starts at thirty. No setup screen stands between you and the guess.

  2. 02

    Type the year

Any year from 1 AD to today is accepted. Type four digits and the robot walks that far along the road through time.

  3. 03

    Read the band

The true year appears with the points your guess earned, from 100 down to 10, and the running total updates at the top.

  4. 04

    Finish and start again

Eight moments close the journey and show the total out of 800. A fresh set of moments is one tap away, with no cooldown attached.

Who Plays Eraly Unlimited

The people who reach for a second journey rather than a second tab.

One journey fits inside a lunch break with time to spare, so the second one happens almost by accident. The running total out of 800 is the part that keeps pulling them back.
